Journals

I am thinking of consolidating all of my journals on one journal instead of having ten thousand different ones for different topics. Controversial will stay, because I am using it to archive news stories, so in a few years I can go back and see the old headlines. It's just a project. But I am thinking I might want to put critter and spiniffy and this one all in one journal instead of 3 different ones. I was trying to keep things too separate and it just ends up making it difficult for me to update everything. In order to keep some things private (so el bitcho doesn't find it) I would just make certain entries private so only friends could read them. And move all the old wedding entries into another journal and delete that one. I'm just considering it at this point, but it is sounding better and better. I'd like to get everything consolidated. Any thoughts?

Also, tonight I took the plunge and started seriously looking into what I need to do for graduate school/finishing up my BS in Biology. I can actually go to a Masters program for Biology without finishing my BS, since I do have a BA already. That is sounding very tempting. Then I could do a Ph.D in Environmental Sciences. And if I want to take fun classes I can do history. I sent an email off to an adviser, so hopefully I'll hear from him tomorrow.

Jon and I watched Free Willy 2 tonight. It is more annoying than I remembered.

Cats Eat Cake

Jon and I have turned Marley into a cake addict. We're now taking donations so we can afford to send her to rehab.

So, I don't feel so much like I got run over by a horse today. That's positive. I do think I am fighting something off, however, since I slept about a million hours or something. Maybe I am exaggerating. But I went to bed around 10:30ish, woke around 1:40ish am, fell back to sleep around 3ish am, and then slept until around 11ish am. That seems like a lot of sleep to me. I am in transition, trying to get my schedule on a better track. I was starting to make myself sick with my wonky sleep schedule and lack of food, except for junk food. But I had a pop tart for breakfast. It might sound like junk, and it is junk, but it's better than not eating anything until Jon gets home from work. And I feel a lot better too. Not so dizzy. I have no idea why I fall into that pattern. It's just too easy.

So, I need something to do. A job. Or go back to school. I hate not having something to do, I fall into depression. If you haven't gleaned from my posts, I am no longer employed by Hospice. That is a long, stupid tale. One that involves a lawyer, so I am not going to get in-depth into it just yet.

I like vanilla chai deodorant. It is awesome. I hate the keyboard/mouse on the computer I am using. It is making me certain that I do not want a Dell laptop. I love my Toshiba.

For My Own Amusement

President Bush drops some BOMBS on some third world COUNTRIES. He thinks it is the RIGHT THING TO DO. The world DISAGREES. He spends lots and lots of American MONEY on his BOMBS. Many people DIE.

The economy begins to plummet.

President Bush: The economy is strong!

The economy goes down a little more.

President Bush: There is no problem with the economy!

The economy goes down a little more. Lots of people lose their jobs and homes. That makes them rather cranky.

President Bush: It will bounce back, the economy is strong!

The economy bottoms out.

President Bush: The economy is strong!

The economy flatlines.

President Bush: We may have a problem. But it's not really that bad.

The economy is still flatlining. Bunches of people lose houses and jobs. No one is pleased.

President Bush: We seem to be having a slight hiccup in the economy. Don't worry, it'll be OK!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, says the flatlined economy.

President Bush: It would seem the economy is in trouble.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, says the flatlined economy. GROWL!!, say the unhappy people. THIS IS AS BAD AS THE CRASH THAT CAUSED THE GREAT DEPRESSION, the media screams.

President Bush: Quick! Adopted this risky $700 Billion plan to save our economy! Don't ask questions, just do it now or we're all going to die!

THAT'S A STUPID SUGGESTION, WE NEED MORE INFORMATION, say the wiser politicians.

President Bush: The democrats killed the economy by not adopting my plan. Thus, they are to blame for your children not having any food, shelter, or education. What a sad day in America, woe is me.

Democrats: Meh. *flips President Bush the bird*

Some Republicans: Woe is us. Democrats are evil.

Some Other Republicans: Why did we vote for that baboon?

Other People: What the hell just happened?

Economy: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...

Andrea: It is after 3 AM. I am going to bed.
I love this chandelier. It is so pretty. I want to put it in my dad's bathroom. So then when Jon and I buy the house, we'd have it in our bathroom :)

I stepped on a slug tonight, whilst running through the yard after the Professor. I was wearing flip flops and it went squishy right up between my toes. At first I couldn't figure out why there was just a certain little patch of water that was so cold there. Then it dawned on me. I knocked it out of my shoe, caught the wayward puppy, and went to wash my feet. Blech. I scrubbed out my shoes too, so now they are drying on the radiator, even though the radiator isn't on because it's really too hot for it. I dislike bugs in general. But right now I'm not too fond of slugs.

In other news, I've been staying up way too late. Case in point, it is now 15 minutes until 3 am. That is a problem, because then I sleep too much. So, I think I will get off the computer and go to sleep. Or try to. The last couple nights I have tossed and turned due to the change in the temperature making me either too hot or too cold. Bothersome.

Life is good, even when it isn't, it is. I love my husband. He just woke up and decided to bite me on the neck. Now I'm going to bed, g'night.

Gouging

Due to Hurricane Ike, gas shot up over night. Most states are checking into price gouging, except for TN. As a result, our gas is still insanely expensive. Makes me glad we got a hybrid. However, I wish we'd managed to fill up on Friday, since the price exploded on Saturday. If it stays up, maybe there will be fewer people on the roads. That's a plus.

7 Years and Counting

Jon and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary yesterday. I can't believe we've been together for 7 years now. Crazy. This tends to be a bigger to deal to us than our wedding anniversary or any other anniversary. We were hoping to go out of town for the weekend, but that fell through. However, I am fine with that, I just like spending time with Jon :)
